Dr. Ben Abbey was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado before moving to Fort Collins to attend Colorado State University. There he worked at a small, family-owned dairy while earning a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and then continuing on to receive his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Upon
graduation, he and his wife, Kristina, moved to Gooding, Idaho, where he became a partner at North Valley Veterinary Clinic. The entire family has moved to Dillon to fulfill their dream of owning a practice in Montana where they can raise their kids in a ranching environment.
Dr. Abbey stays busy in his free time with a houseful of 4 young kids and a barnful of horses. He enjoys driving draft horses, a love that is shared with his oldest daughter. He also enjoys all of Montana's ample opportunities for hunting and fishing, and spends as much time outdoors as possible.
Dr. Dave Madsen, Dipl. ABVP, SHP is a Nebraska native who grew up on a diverse livestock and grain farm in Indiana. He graduated from Purdue University in 1969 and entered general veterinary practice with a food animal emphasis, retaining this focus
until 1994. He has a broad knowledge of pigs, having served as the AVMA delegate
from the American Association of Swine Veterinarians. Dr. Madsen also serves with
the Montana State Fairboard, ensuring the safe health and housing of Montana's 4H
Dr. Madsen moved here in 2014 from Missouri with his wife Sandie to enjoy all the
fishing opportunities that Beaverhead County has to offer. He also enjoys spending
time with his grandkids, showing them all that Montana has to offer when they come
and visit with his daughter, Jenna.
